How we protect your mattress in transit
Mattresses are bulky and can be awkward to handle — which is why we take protection seriously on every job.
- Dedicated vehicle — your mattress travels alone in its own van, never mixed with other customers’ goods. No warehouse sorting, no multi-depot transfers.
- Strapped upright on its side — for single through king size mattresses, we transport them standing on their side and strap them securely against the van wall. This is the industry-standard method and keeps the mattress stable without any risk of compression or folding during transit.
- Super king sizes travel flat — the Luton van’s 198cm interior width is the only vehicle wide enough to carry a super king flat, and that’s exactly what we use for them.
- Careful handling — our drivers are experienced with large, awkward items. We’ll ask you at booking whether you need assistance carrying the mattress to and from the van.
- We recommend — wrapping your mattress in a mattress bag or protective cover before collection if possible. We can advise on this when you call to book.
Unlike parcel broker services that pass your mattress through multiple depots and handlers, we use dedicated direct couriers — the same driver from your door to the destination.
